If my
company has more than one division or location, should I register each
separately?
Register each separately if you want each unit to be billed separately
and/or for each to have its own administrator. If you're uncertain,
contact your CRA representative(s) for assistance.
Why
won't the e-OSCAR Registration page accept the address I entered?
The form will not accept punctuation such as periods after
abbreviations.
Who
should be designated as my Help Desk Contact?
Enter the name of a person in your company (such as your System
Administrator) who would be most likely to call the help desk with
questions.
What is
a Compliance Officer?
The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that your company
complies with the laws that pertain to responding to disputes in a
timely manner. The Compliance Officer can also be a backup for the
System Administrator.
Who
should be added as a System Administrator?
The System Administrator should be the individual responsible for
managing the day-to-day operations for ACDV and AUD processing.
Why is
e-OSCAR asking for a CDIA Member Number?
If you are a credit grantor, your Company Type must be "Data
Furnisher." Cancel this registration and restart. Only ICRAs
(Independent Credit Reporting Agencies) and MRCs
(Mortgage Reporting Companies) are required to enter a CDIA Member
Number.
Where
can I enter my Subscriber Codes?
The second page of registration is the location for entering Subscriber
Codes. The second page by can be accessed by selecting "Continue". Be
sure that you have selected "DF" for Company Type if you are a data
furnisher/credit grantor.
Why does
the system tell me to input at least one valid subscriber code after I
have selected "Continue" on the 2nd page?
This message will appear if you did not select "Add" after entering the
subscriber code or if you did not enter a code for each NCRA that you
checked. At least one subscriber code must be entered for each NCRA
relationship. Remember to use upper case for alpha characters.
How do I
know if I've successfully registered?
- When you submit the registration, you will receive a
registration acknowledgment screen that displays your registration ID.
- e-OSCAR sends you a Registration Confirmation e-mail message
that states that you have registered with e-OSCAR.
- After your registration has been reviewed, you will receive
Registration Approval (or rejection) e-mail message. If you have
received a Registration Approval message but still cannot access the
system, contact the Help Desk.
When
can I expect to hear from the NCRAs regarding my registration?
One you have completed your registration you can expect a response in
approximately 4-7 business days.
